Charity begins at home
We've all got clothes and stuff that we don't wear. Maybe they don't quite fit
properly, maybe they're last season's style or maybe they just looked better
in the shop. Whatever the reason, these garments could help generate cash for
a charity or clothe people less fortunate than yourselves. So, get together
with your date and take it in turns to clear out each other's unwanted clobber
and then drive it down to the local charity shop.
Picture this
Why not go for a walk in the woods or park and collect interesting items or
even rubbish (foil paper, lollipop sticks etc), bring them back and turn them
into collages? Give your collage to your partner and vice versa or just make
one large one. Why not make a collage of where you've been?
On a clear day
There are thousands of miles of footpaths and many of them have become
overgrown through disuse. Ramblers Associations are always on the look out for
volunteers to help keep them clear so why not join one and take out your
frustration on a bramble and nettle patch? You could even do it independently
but make sure you check with the Leisure Services Department of your Local
Authority first otherwise you could be trespassing.
Trains and boats and planes
Not feeling quite so energetic? Why not make a model yacht or a kite or
something like that from a kit and then take it out and fly it or sail it as
appropriate? This could easily become a regular thing.
Learn a new skill
There are thousands of courses or one-day special events just waiting for
you to sign up for. Why not get behind the wheel of a racing car, learn some
advance driving skills, sail a boat, fly a helicopter, take up fishing, try a
new sport etc? Talk it over with your date and find something you both like
the sound of.
