Unusual Date Ideas

It's not unusual? Well, it needs to be if you are to impress your partner with something a bit 'out of the norm'. Experience a really different date idea

The problem with dating is that it can all seem a bit 'samey' after a while. You and your partner are far from stale together but the places you go to and the things that you do are. So, if you've run the gamut of conventional date ideas and are looking to experience something unusual and a bit different, then why not give our suggestions a whirl? We hope you find them inspiring.
Hanging out together
Well, you've probably been doing that for some time but not, I'll bet, in a hang-glider. Take a lesson with each of you strapped to an experienced instructor and see the world from a different perspective. Soar silently over hills and fields and imagine you were truly flying. Don't forget to take your camera to get some really exciting and memorable snaps of your date.
Beauty is in the eye
If London is your home then why not book a flight in the London Eye followed by a dinner and dance cruise on the Thames? This has to be both unusual and romantic and, no matter what the time of year, is bound to be interesting and unique. Expect to pay about £200 each for the privilege though.
Full of hot air
Would you like to ride in my beautiful balloon? Of course you would. With just the occasional 'roossh' of hot gas fly above fields, villages and towns in your multi-coloured hot air balloon. Crack open a bottle of champagne in your basket and toast each other. Once you've landed, nip off to a quiet little restaurant for a romantic dinner.
Taken for a ride
This is definitely not a date to get dressed up for. Hire or take your own mountain bike and follow a trail in the countryside. Make sure that you find one that suits your level of fitness, of course. After a few miles of trekking through the 'wilderness', return the bikes, shake off the worst of the mud and tuck into a ploughman's lunch and a well-earned pint.
A dead cert to be a favourite
Maybe participation sports are not for you and you would prefer to watch rather than to do. In that case, try a day at the races. For around £50 a head, you can get free parking, a guided tour of the race-track, entry to the top-people's enclosure, a programme, drinks and special betting privileges. Don't gamble too much, though!
