Tips for dates on the Amalfi Coast
- Don't forget most things close for Ferragosto (an Italian holiday which can cover the whole of August)
- It gets really hot during July and August
- Pack some sensible shoes that you can climb in - there are thousands of steep steps on the Amalfi Coast
- Try off-season for a quieter time (but watch out as some hotels will be closed)
- Remember that this is a very rural part of Italy and many people will not
speak English so knowing a few Italian words and phrases will go down well
